Nasdaq up 2% after the bell. Carvana, Peloton, and AMD tops today's active equities.
In the first half, everyone was at the edge of their seat while waiting for the Fed's announcement at 2 P.M. US Eastern. Market was pretty flat in the first half; you can actually hear a pin drop. Then half hour after the news come out, the S&P500 blast off to as high as 2.73% to 413.67; while the Nasdaq Composite jumped 3.61% to 12,458.87.
Peloton cycled their way to close with 26.53% gains while AMD amid strong quarter end results circuit their way to gain 12.63%. And to my surprise, Carvana drove their way up to 33.33%. It's funny because I was just telling my wife yesterday that the Carvana glass building had only 3 cars left; normally, you can't see an empty spot there.
Energy sector lift its foot off the gas landing last again in the grid, down almost 2%, making it the only sector to finish red after the bell.
Bitcoin is currently at 23,714.90, a gain of 3.55%.
Amazon, Apple, Alphabet, Ford, Qualcomm, Starbucks, Merck, and Hershey will release their earnings tomorrow.
